Course Goals
- Follow and build on the new Ontario math curriculum, which which includes coding
- Introduce and build on variables, patterns, expressions, equations, and inequalities in the context of coding
- Develop recursive and functional thinking in the process of mathematical modelling and problem solving
- Introduce UI-based programming languages and simple web technologies to build games and other projects
- Develop skills in using common operating systems and software

- Introduction to typing with regular typing drills and exercises
- Understanding the computer: Microsoft Windows and Apple MacOS, word processing programs, spreadsheets and formulas, image editing

- Use coding as a tool to understand complex math concepts, helping improve the ability to solve problems
- Introduction to popular programming languages, data types, operators, expressions, statements, loops, and recursion

What is the SAT?
The SAT is a standardized test used for college admissions in the United States used to test the student’s preparedness for college through testing their English and Math fluency.
Who should take the SAT?
The SAT is for students looking to enroll into a United States college.

What is the SSAT?
The SSAT is a standardized test for the admission of students into independent schools. The SSAT measures the verbal, math and reading skills that are needed for successful performances by students. It is used to determine the level of skill and knowledge in English and Math.
Who should take the SSAT?
The SSAT is for students interested in going to private boarding schools, or independent secondary schools in the U.S. and Canada.

What is the IELTS?
The IELTS is an internationally recognized assessment developed to test the 4 English language skills: listening, reading writing and speaking. It is recognized by over 9000 organizations worldwide, including schools, universities, employers, immigration authorities and professional bodies in over 140 countries.
Who should take the IELTS?
The IELTS is designed to assess the abilities of people aiming to study and work in an English-speaking environment. It is for students who didn not attend 4 years of high school.
